Build the Commercial Engine for an Australian Industrial Group

MACH Technical Solutions is the parent entity of three specialist divisions serving Australian manufacturers, industrial operators, and commercial businesses. Our Engineering & Automation division delivers industrial automation and robotics engineering. SparesConnect.com.au provides fast-turnaround access to critical industrial spare parts. Our AI Solutions division helps Australian businesses identify and implement practical AI-powered process improvements.

We have built real capability across these three divisions. What we need now is a commercially minded Sales and Marketing Lead to translate that capability into pipeline, proposals, and closed business.

This is not a junior marketing coordinator role. You will own the group marketing strategy, manage the CRM, and be accountable for revenue pipeline as a direct contributor. You will report to the Managing Director, collaborate with division leads, and have genuine influence over how the group presents itself to the Australian market.

The ideal candidate has sold or marketed into industrial, engineering, or capital equipment sectors and understands how buying decisions are made at the plant manager, procurement manager, and CFO level. You know what it takes to build trust with technical buyers and you can produce the materials that support that process.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

Own and execute the group-wide marketing strategy across all three divisions: Engineering & Automation, SparesConnect.com.au, and AI Solutions.

Build and manage a qualified inbound and outbound sales pipeline for the parent group, targeting Australian manufacturing, industrial, and commercial sectors.

Lead all digital marketing activity including SEO, Google Ads, LinkedIn, and email campaigns, tracking performance to conversion.

Develop sales collateral, capability decks, case study documentation, and proposal templates in collaboration with division leads.

Manage and grow the CRM database, ensuring accurate contact records, deal stages, and follow-up activity across all divisions.

Represent the MACH Group at industry trade shows, procurement events, and manufacturing forums across Australia.

Work directly with engineering and operations leadership to translate technical capability into clear, commercially compelling messaging.

Identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities with industry bodies, procurement platforms, and complementary suppliers.

Prepare monthly reporting on pipeline health, marketing spend, lead source performance, and conversion metrics for the Managing Director.

Coordinate with division teams on proposal writing, site visit logistics, and client onboarding for group-level opportunities.

What We Need

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales and/or marketing, with demonstrated success generating and closing commercial opportunities.

Proven track record selling into industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or capital equipment sectors in the Australian market.

Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including SEO, Google Ads, LinkedIn marketing, and email automation.

Experience managing a CRM system (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent) with disciplined pipeline hygiene.

Excellent written communication skills: capable of producing professional proposals, case studies, and marketing copy independently.

Confident presenter and networker, comfortable engaging with engineers, operations managers, procurement leads, and executives.

Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Nice to Have

Preferred Qualifications

Experience marketing or selling automation, robotics, industrial controls, or capital equipment solutions.

Familiarity with AI-powered business tools and the ability to explain technology products to non-technical buyers.

Knowledge of the Australian manufacturing and industrial procurement landscape.

Experience working within a multi-division or group company structure.

Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent design capability for producing marketing materials.
